Book an appointment to make the most of your visit. Search through our catalogue and online holdings and let us know what you’d like to see ahead of time. If you’re not sure what to look for, send us an email with your research questions, and we can help you.
A few things to know about visiting us in the Kirkconnell Room
- Pencils only
- Leave food and drink in our entryway
- Please leave big coats and bags in our entryway
- Please ask staff to retrieve materials for you
- Handle materials with care
- Take photos for your personal use (no flash please)
- Please ask questions!

How to Find Us
Our reading room is located one floor below the entry level. You will need to take the stairs or elevator to find us.
If taking the stairs
- Enter the main library doors, and go left, past the Access Services desk.
- Take the stairs on the left down one floor.
- The door to the reading room is immediately to your left.
If taking the elevator
- Enter the main library doors and go slightly left past the library display cases.
- The elevator is on your right. Go down one floor to “B1” (Second Floor).
- Follow the signs to the Kirkconnell Room. Go left down the hallway, then right and through the door. The Kirkconnell Reading Room is straight ahead.
